Carlos "Bub" Madrid has been involved in high level sports and athletic training from an early age. He was a four-year varsity standout at Reed High School where he received an honorable mention as a junior shortstop, and as a senior was named Northern Nevada Player of the Year which helped earn him a scholarship to the University of Nevada. During his years at Nevada he was a four year starter and received all Western Athletic Conference honors as a senior second baseman. As a professional, Carlos was co-rookie of the year of the Golden Baseball League and had a career .300 average as a minor leaguer.

Aside from a standout baseball career, Carlos began training athletes in '07 in San Diego, California as a NASM certified, functional athletic trainer at FIT in downtown San Diego. Carlos trained under James Cooper, who is well known as one of the best athletic trainers in the country.

Carlos is well-versed in all areas of athletic training, but specializes in functional athletic training. He has worked with athletes of all ages and has become accustom to succeeding and will pass that on to each and every athlete that he comes across. He believes that the only thing we as athletes can control is out effort and through his training he will also help each and every client to understand what exactly that means. Carlos knows what college and professional scouts look for and that's what he and the FAST facility will focus on.

Carlos is also currently the head coach for the Varisty baseball team at McQueen High School.
